You will be introduced to powerful parallel programming constructs for multi-core desktop machines, GPUs and clusters. After this workshop you can effectively leverage your multi-core or multi-machine hardware.

About the Presenter
Dr. Thomas Künzel is a member of the Central European Sciences Team at The MathWorks, working out of the Aachen Office. In this role he supports researchers in effectively using local and remote parallel resources for their computational projects. Thomas holds a doctoral degree in Zoology/Animal Physiology from RWTH Aachen University and led a research group in auditory neuroscience before he joined the MathWorks..

Learning goal

Participants will be able to leverage parallel hardware (CPU multicore, GPU) in MATLAB with minimal code changes and know about best practices in MATLAB parallel computing.

Requirements: This hands-on workshop will be taught with a special workshop version of MATLAB Online, no MATLAB installation or license is required to attend. If you want to follow along on your own hardware, you need MATLAB R2024a or newer, including the Parallel Computing Toolbox and a compatible (NVIDIA) GPU. This session is hosted by MathWorks.
