Practical Container Workshop for HPC Administrators

Containers become a very wide spread tool for many users. Performance in containers usually is not a focus point in many cases. This workshop is mainly about achievements in the NHR Container project, where we address performance issues. We will show the tools which allow to build performance oriented base containers and demonstrate how admins of HPC centers can build them for users of their HPC centers and push the containers to the NHR wide repository.

• Apptainer, Singularity, Docker, Podman experience
• To follow hands-on session requires access to a HPC node-like environment; further information
